We see the results of an overly stressed society on our streets and in our classrooms every day. The mental health crisis isn’t slowing down, and our children are suffering more than many of us want to admit.

What missing link does the mental health industry and our education system have in common?

Prevention.

We aren’t learning how to PREVENT problems.

Problems like addiction, mental health issues, chronic illness, etc…

Now will these problems always exist? Probably. Will most of us face one or more of them at some point in our lives? Sure.

The unfortunate reality is that if WE as parents have struggled with drug/alcohol use, trauma, mental health issues, etc - we are already more likely to have children that struggle with these things as well.

Why?

Because if we haven’t learned the tools and healed the pain to be different and do different- we will often subconsciously (meaning NOT on purpose) repeat behaviors and patterns that we experienced.

Can we change? Can we give our children a better life than we had? YES.

When we have the Resiliency tools and the REAL education we need, we finally get to experience our ultimate goals:

Less Stress. More freedom. Less pain. More love. Less struggle. More fun!

For Schools and non-profits:

With a focus on prevention through the lens of pro-active education for high-risk areas, including stress management, brain development, risk factors for addiction, and “real talk” drug education, these presentations are dynamic, engaging and discuss both the problem AND possible solutions. As a Credentialed School Counselor who has delivered this content to over 4,000 teens and counting, I’m confident we can design a presentation that fits your sites needs. Additional support can include: training on-site counselors to run follow up groups after these presentations, assisting in the development of ongoing presentations, collaborative consulting and more.

It’s time we break the generational patterns of addiction and trauma that are haunting so many of us. The change starts with us, and once we fight for it, magic can and will unfold.

Thank you for being here. It’s time we take charge of our stories, our healing, and our lives, so we can make this crazy world a little (or a lotta) bit better for our kiddos. <3

Click here for the free “When It’s Too Much Toolkit - a collaborative project myself and a few other coaches developed several years ago that is still super helpful and relative today.

Resilience: “Psychologists define resilience as the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress—such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems, or workplace and financial stressors. As much as resilience involves “bouncing back” from these difficult experiences, it can also involve profound personal growth.” - www.apa.org/topics/resilience
